President Henry B. Eyring Second Counselor in the First Presidency …[T]he Lord’s intent [is] to have His Saints care for each other in the way He cares for them. They succeed when the Saints feel the love of Christ for each other above their self-interest. The scriptures call it “charity…the pure love of Christ”. And they succeed when the Holy Ghost guides the caregiver to know what the Lord knows is best for the person whom He is trying to help. Time after time in recent weeks, members of the Church have acted…as if somehow they had anticipated what the Lord was going to do, … Let me give you just two examples… It seems to me that we receive the Holy Spirit best when we are focused on serving others. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2018/04/inspired-ministering?lang=eng
Elder Taniela B. Wakolo Of the Seventy The many distractions and temptations of life are like “ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15). It is the true shepherd who will prepare, protect, and warn the sheep and the flock when these wolves are approaching (see John 10:11–12). As undershepherds who seek to emulate the perfect life of the Good Shepherd, aren’t we shepherds of our own soul as well as of others? With the counsel of prophets, seers, and revelators, whom we just sustained, and with the power and gift of the Holy Ghost, we can see the wolves coming if we are watchful and prepared. In contrast, when we are casual shepherds of our own soul and others’ souls, casualties are likely. Casualness leads to casualties. I invite each of us to be a faithful shepherd. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2018/04/saving-ordinances-will-bring-us-marvelous-light?lang=eng
President Thomas S. Monson We are blessed to have the truth. We have a mandate to share the truth. Let us live the truth, that we might merit all that the Father has for us. He does nothing save it be for our benefit. He has told us, “This is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” From the depths of my soul and in all humility, I testify of the great gift which is our Father’s plan for us. It is the one perfect path to peace and happiness both here and in the world to come. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2016/10/the-perfect-path-to-happiness?lang=eng

A Small and Meaningful Kernel of Advice. "We all pray, but the [person] you want to be prays often and with real intent. In the evening you will get on your knees and thank God for the blessings of the day. . . . You will describe in your prayers specifically who has blessed your life and how, during that day. That will take more than a few minutes and more than a little thought. It will surprise you and change you." President Henry B. Eyring, April 2014 General Conference.
